Choreography: Carlos Díaz "Valeriana" setzt sich in kritischer Form mit der kulturellen Frauenfeindlichkeit im ländlichen Raum der peruanischen Anden auseinander. Inspiriert ist die Performance von den Ereignissen, die den Komponisten Miguel Angel Hurtado veranlassten, die Quechua-Version eines der bekanntes- ten Beispiele andiner Volksmusik zu schrei- ben. Die Melodie des Huayno "Valicha" ist der musikalische Kern der choreografi schen Erzählung.
