Concept, choreography and costume design: Diana Mora. Short variation where I interpret a llama that has been decorated during the indigenous aymara/quechua ritual of the "Floreo". The Flowering Ceremony is an ancestral custom of the indigenous aymara and quechua peoples who inhabit the high Andean sectors of South America. It consists of marking, decorating and honoring their llamas for organisational and spiritual purposes with pompons, music and dancing. Each community has a different way of organizing and marking the Llamas according to organization, fertility and spiritual beliefs.

In indigenous cultures, death is associated with rebirth. Darkness is part of life. Our planet recieves the light of the Sun, but it is the Moon who regulates it to create life and balance. As a baby is born in the darkness of the uterus, associated with the Uku Pacha (underworld), death requires to embrace that darkness in order to surrender to the inevitable rebirth. In this Dying Swan, I am not pretending to die. I am dying.

Music: Elysia Crampton. Choreography: Diana Mora. This is a choreography created in a choreographic Laboratory in which I used "outdated" ballet vocabulary from Enrico Cecchetti's style. This choreo lab was inteded to demonstrate that there is a big loss of information of the ballet vocabulary.
